About me
I love skiing, batminton, and swimming. Other hobbies include drawing, reading, and computer.
Here is a short list of my favorite things.
Here is a picture of myself.

The Kovlakas Family
My family is so American. What an American last name. AmericanAmericanAmerican(coughcoughSARCASMhmmm.)
Even if that was a little dramatic (yup I'm Greek), I am proud of my heritage. My father was nearly born on a boat coming from Greece to Detroit, so you can guess that my family is very Greek. I loved even just having Greek blood, but we even visited Greece Summer 2007 for 3 weeks. We stayed with many of our relatives (Greek families tend to be very large, and we have relatives all over).
I know many Greek words, which was appropriate for our trip. My dad taught me himself. I believe I'm around 50-25 percent Greek. One great thing about being Greek is the most famous Greek pastry - Baklava. It takes about 4-5 hours to make, but it's so worth it. I really love being Greek because it just feels so exciting to be part of such a great mass of people.
My family actually has their own website, which is mostly in Greek, but you may find your way through it. It's located here. My family was from Spilia, Greece. My baptism name is Aristia, named after my grandfather, Aristides. I like to think of it as my real name in memory of my grandpa.
On my mom's side I am slightly French, Polish, and Irish.
I can't forget the fact that I'm American.
I have 3 cats - Bumper, Scamper and Sox. Hard to believe that nearly 5 years ago I had nine cats. We took Sox in as a stray 5 years ago. We had received another cat from my cousins, Jane. At first we thought she was just strictly fat, but later we found out she was pregnant. On St. Patricks' Day night, she gave birth to five kittens; Bumper, Snowflake (now called Lily), Lightning (now called Daisy), Thunder (now called Oreo), and Scamper. Don't ask about the names. We were 7.
Of course, we had to give away some of the kittens, but we decided to keep Bumper and Scamper. Jane had died a few weeks after their birth, leaving us with 3 cats. We love them dearly.
Here is a picture of two of my cats:
From left to right: Bumper, Scamper. Wow. That was easy.
I have been playing the guitar for 4 years. My guitar teacher, Gem Durouz, is a legend. He practices more than 5 hours a day. He teaches me Turkish/Spanish music. Although he plays many amazing pieces, here is a single sample of his music (this was in 2005).
I am mostly into rock/soft rock music. My favorite songs are:
Sites/Games that I enjoy/recommend
Drawing is one of my ultimate hobbies. You can find a few samples of my art on deviantART here.
I'm not sure how my love of drawing started, but alot of my inspiration comes from everything around me.
It makes me feel good when I get praise because I try so hard. Digital work is the hardest for me. I'm not as comfortable with a mouse as I am with a pencil. But that doesn't mean I don't enjoy it as much.
I have good reason to believe that if it wasn't for this spectacular hobby, then I wouldn't be who I am today.
Every aspect of drawing is perfect. I enjoy a certain type of drawing called anime/manga. I am mostly into drawing animals, but the main one thing I can't draw that well is.... horses. x.x
I can't just leave it at that with the horses and all so... I guess I'll just say that if you ever want me to draw something for you, I'd be glad to. Lemme know at gpurplepotato@aol.com , or contact on me on dA or one of the multiple games I listed.
I created this website at the Girls Technology Camp at Fairfield University.
